Catawba Valley Medical Center (CVMC) recently recognized Angela Horton,
radiologic technologist III in Diagnostic Angiography Services, as the
April 2010 CARE employee of the month.
A fellow employee made the following remarks when nominating Ms. Horton
for the recognition: “Angela has always exemplified CARE from the
time a patient walks through the door until leaving. Her focus is solely
on that patient, making sure that the individual is informed, comfortable
and safe. Even when a patient calls back with a question days or weeks
later, she does all she can to meet the needs. She takes a vested interest,
not only in her daily duties of her profession, but also in the lives
of her patients. Quite a few of our patients have to return to us regularly
and upon seeing Angela, they smile and you can see in their eyes that
they know they will receive exceptional care from her.”
Catawba Valley Medical Center’s CARE employee, nominated monthly
by employees and guests, embodies Courtesy, Attitude, Respect and Enthusiasm
for commitment to maintaining a positive guest relations atmosphere while
demonstrating a sincere compassion and concern for patients and fellow
staff members.
Catawba Valley Medical Center is a not-for-profit, public healthcare system
