HICKORY, NC – Dec 10, 2014 — Catawba Valley Medical Center (CVMC) has announced the addition
of Curtis Schultz, MD to its panel of advanced wound healing providers
at the CVMC Center for Wound Healing & Hyperbarics. Dr. Shultz has
been practicing family medicine for more than 30 years.
“We are excited to have Dr. Schultz join our growing team of wound
care specialists,” said Liane Schubring, RN, BSN, MBA/MHA Wound
Care Center Director. “The multi-disciplinary program continues
to produce a high level of successful patient outcomes in healing wounds
with advanced options including hyperbarics resulting in faster and more
effective healing solutions for problem wounds such as those associated
with diabetes, cancer treatments or other medical conditions which make
wounds more challenging to heal.”
In his new role, Dr. Schultz will use a wide array of advanced wound treatment
approaches employing clinical pathway guidelines proven effective in healing
specific types of wounds. A medical graduate of the University of Miami
(FL) School of Medicine, Dr Schultz completed his internship and residency
at U.S. Air Force Regional Hospital at Carswell Air Force Base in Texas.
He is board certified in Family Practice. Dr. Schultz is a member of the
American Academy of Family Physicians, American College of Sports Medicine
and the Wilderness Medical Society.
