CVMC patients resoundingly praise our team of caregivers for providing
the utmost care to our patients, by doing whatever it takes to meet each
patient’s needs. Our new gift shop, scheduled to open in January,
is a result of the responsibility our entire staff takes in providing
an overarching quality of care to patients as well as their family and friends.
Any hospital stay can be a stressful time for families with loved ones
in the hospital. Our gift shop provides a variety of conveniences for
visitors, patients, and even staff members because we know the importance
of making your visit a little more comfortable. Items purchased at the
gift shop, whether it be a stuffed animal or sweet treat, offer a moment
of relief from whatever circumstance that brings you to the hospital.
“We can never express what a vital role CVMC volunteers play in daily
operations of the hospital. As we continue to grow, so does our need for
recruiting more caring volunteers to donate their time and a compassionate
disposition. This is a rewarding opportunity to enhance every patient
experience as our volunteers become an extension of the healing culture
we have at this hospital.” said Betty Long, Director of Volunteer
Services at Catawba Valley Medical Center.
