HICKORY, NC – Sept 17, 2014 Catawba Valley Medical Group (CVMG) announced today that Christopher Griggs,
DO has joined the practice of Catawba Valley Vascular Surgery, adding
to its experienced team of providers at 1899 Tate Boulevard, Suite 2106,
in Hickory.
In his role with Catawba Valley Vascular Surgery, Dr. Griggs joins Gary
McDougal, MD in serving patients with advanced technologies and procedures
to treat a broad spectrum of vascular disease such as atherosclerosis,
abdominal and thoracic aortic aneurysms, carotid disease and varicose veins.
Dr. Griggs moves to the Hickory area from Kansas City, MO where he was
the attending vascular surgeon at Kansas City Vascular, PC. He holds a
Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from the University of Health Sciences
College of Osteopathic Medicine and a Masters of Business Administration
in Health Care Leadership from Rockhurst University. He is an active member
of both the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons and the American
Osteopathic Association. He completed his general surgery residency at
Southpointe Hospital, a Cleveland Clinic hospital, in Warrensville Heights,
OH followed by a fellowship in vascular surgery at Deborah Heart and Lung
Center in Browns Mills, NJ in 2011.

Catawba Valley Vascular Surgery specializes in vascular and non-cardiac
thoracic surgery, including treatment for abdominal aortic aneurysms,
aortoiliac occlusive disease, carotid disease, peripheral arterial occlusive
disease, and venous disease with treatment for varicose veins and venous
ulcers.Office hours are 8:30 am to 11:30 am and 12:30 pm until 5:00 pm
