HICKORY, NC – July 24, 2015 — Catawba Valley Medical Group (CVMG) announced today that Hickory
native Lindsay Bools, MD will join the practice of Catawba Valley Vascular
Surgery on August 3rd where she will treat patients with a broad spectrum of vascular conditions
including aortic aneurysm, peripheral artery disease and circulatory blockages
of the arms and legs.
“I am excited to return to my hometown to care for the growing number
of patients I can help by improving their vascular health,” said
Dr. Bools. “What makes it even sweeter is to return as a second
generation physician bringing specialized medical skills to a community
I cherish.” Dr. Bools’ father, John Bools, MD is a Hickory-based
radiologist.
A graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in Chapel
Hill, Dr. Bools completed her general surgery internship and residency
at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC, and a clinical
fellowship in vascular surgery at University of Tennessee Medical Center
in Knoxville. She is extensively trained in performing minimally invasive
procedures that offer faster recovery time and less discomfort than conventional surgery.
