HICKORY, NC – April 20, 2017 — Residents in Claremont will soon have a new primary care facility
option. Catawba Valley Family Medicine – Claremont will hold a groundbreaking
ceremony on Thursday, April 27th at 11:30am for its new location at 3114 West Main Street in downtown Claremont.
The new 7,200 square foot practice scheduled to open in the fall of 2017
will replace the current family practice on South Lookout Street.
The new practice, which is the model for other future CVMG practices, will
include additional exam rooms with capacity for more medical providers
and a covered patient pick-up and drop-off area. A larger parking lot
will also provide space for bimonthly services from the CVMC mobile mammography vehicle.
Brian McGinnis, CVMG Executive Director states, “This facility is
necessary to our growth model and to better serve the Claremont community
as we uphold our mission to meet their needs with a central location ideal
for patients along with the ability to extend additional services at the
location.”
In the event of rain the groundbreaking ceremony will be held at the Claremont
Town Hall Council Chambers. The providers at Catawba Valley Family Medicine
