At 101 years old, Frankie Cooke is still going strong. As one of the first
members of Fitness Plus, Catawba Valley Medical Center’s fitness
center, Frankie continues her dedication to working out. “Coming
to the fitness center for all these years is the reason I’m still
living,” said Frankie. “Working out really keeps me going.”
On Frankie’s 101st birthday, the team at Fitness Plus gathered to sing Happy Birthday and
present Frankie with a special photo of Frankie riding an elephant created
by photographer Jesse Salwen. “Everybody at Fitness Plus knows and
loves Frankie,” said April Berg, Fitness Plus Coordinator. “We
love to celebrate her birthdays with special surprises.”
Fitness Plus is a 15,000-square-foot fitness center located on the lower
level of the Rehabilitation Center at Catawba Valley Medical Center.
