Catawba Valley Health System (CVHS) is pleased to update you that UnitedHealthcare
and CVHS have reached a multi-year agreement on a new contract. This agreement
protects affordability and provides UnitedHealthcare members with continued
in-network access to Catawba Valley Medical Center and Catawba Valley
Medical Group.
This impacts patients with UnitedHealthcare commercial, Medicare Advantage
and VA Community Care Network insurance plans. In addition, CVHS is now
in network with the UHC Medicaid plan.
Insurance plans will be back in-network for hospital services immediately.
All claims on or after October 1st will be processed as in-network as
well. Plans for CVHS-employed physician services have remained in-network
during the recent negotiation period and have not been affected.
