About
Prior to studying nursing at Presbyterian Nursing School in Charlotte,
Tanya graduated with a nursing degree in 1991. She cared for patients
at Presbyterian Hospital for three years on the Cancer Unit and continued
her nursing career at an outpatient cancer clinic in Gastonia. She has
also worked with Hospice of Lincoln County while completing her bachelor
of science in nursing at the University of North Carolina in Charlotte.
Tanya also taught nursing at Gaston College and completed her MSN-FNP-C
at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina before starting
her career as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is currently working toward
her Doctorate of Nurse Practice from Clemson University.
Tanya stays involved in her community and church. She has one son and one
daughter who keep her very busy. She enjoys running, reading, sports and
working in her yard.
