A Nationally Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Michael Faulkner earned
a Doctor of Nursing Practice at East Carolina University in Greenville,
NC and a Bachelor of Nursing Science from UNCC in Charlotte, NC.
Prior to joining Catawba Valley Health System, Michael was a Registered
Nurse over the past 6 years in the Emergency Department setting, serving
as both Charge Nurse and Star Preceptor. He wanted to become a Nurse Practitioner
to better serve his patients by providing primary care needs to patients
of all ages and ethnicities in his home community. He has a broad knowledge
of patient experience and enjoys helping patients understand their medical
care by keeping office visits patient-focused and easy to comprehend.
He is first a husband to his wife of 5 years and a dad to 3 beautiful children.
He enjoys being a part of his church at Sandy Ridge Baptist, hiking in
the outdoors, reading, and sipping on different types of coffee. He is
committed to keeping our healthcare community safe and healthy.
