About
Dr. Geissele specializes in spinal disorders in children and adults. His
areas of interest include minimally invasive surgery as well as back and
neck pain, ruptured discs, fractures in the aging spine, spondylolisthesis,
sacroiliac joint disorders, and scoliosis.
Prior to completing his fellowship at the University of Minnesota in spine
surgery, Dr. Geissele completed his residency and internship at Walter
Reed Army Medical Center and his medical degree at Hahnemann University.
He has practiced both clinical and academic medicine and is the author
or co-author of eight scholarly papers. He has given presentations at
national and international meetings and throughout North Carolina.
Outside of work, he is a motorcycle enthusiast who enjoys the outdoors,
four-wheeling, hunting, reading, and gardening as well as Hungarian food
and culture. He and his wife, Marie, are members of Holy Trinity Lutheran
Church. Their children and grandchildren live in Raleigh, Fort Mill, and
Charleston.
