Catawba Valley Medical Group Welcomes Mary Ference-Valenta, D.O.
HICKORY, NC—Catawba Valley Medical Group (CVMG), a service of Catawba
Valley Medical Center, welcomes Mary Ference-Valenta, D.O., to Viewmont
Family Medicine. She began work February 6.
Dr. Ference-Valenta brings 16 years of professional experience to our area.
She earned her medical degree at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine
and her Bachelor of Science in Biology from St. Vincent College in Latrobe,
PA. Dr. Ference-Valenta is board certified by the American Board of Family
Medicine. During her residency she was the chief resident and during her
previous tenure she served as the family practice section chairperson.
She was also a member of the hospital’s performance improvement
committee. She is a member of multiple medical organizations including
the American Academy of Family Physicians, American College of Osteopathic
Family Practitioners, American Medical Association and the American Osteopathic
Association. She has also been named to Who’s Who in Medicine and
Healthcare.
Dr. Ference-Valenta is accepting new patients and looks forward to providing
care to all ages. Areas of special interest include women’s healthcare
and the management of diabetes and hypertension. She will be working with
