Catawba Valley Medical Center names Liane Schubring director of Catawba Valley Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbarics

HICKORY, NC—Dec. 16, 2013—Catawba Valley Medical Center (CVMC) has announced the hiring of Liane Schubring, BSN, MBA/MHA, as the director of the Catawba Valley Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbarics.

“I am extremely excited and honored to have the opportunity to direct a program that offers such a high level of wound treatment options to include hyperbarics,” said Schubring. “This program has proven to be extremely successful in healing wounds in less than 30 days, and I believe that there are many people in our community who would benefit from our services.”

In her new role, Schubring will work with The Wound Center team to treat patients with complicated wounds of varying types using a wide array of advanced wound treatment approaches. She will continue to improve upon the clinic’s 96 percent success rate for healing, by working to educate patients and caregivers about prevention and comprehensive disease management.

“Liane’s extensive experience in healthcare management is an asset to The Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbarics,” said Ava Jarrett, administrator, Rehabilitation and Wellness. “The combination of her nursing and management skill set will be a great resource as we move forward.”

Schubring is a 26-year healthcare nursing professional. She comes to CVMC from Advanced Home Care where she served as regional sales and operations director. She has a long history of working with many community health care organizations such as home health care, home infusion and durable medical equipment, as well as hospice. She earned degrees from Vermont College of Norwich University and Pfeiffer University.
