Please present a current insurance card when registering and checking
in for services. The information on the card is important for correct
identification of insurance benefits. It is important that we receive
your insurance information quickly. Your insurance company may have a
timely filing deadline that must be met in order for your benefits to be paid.
Co-Pays and Deductibles
Patients with commercial or managed care coverage are responsible for
paying co-pays, deductibles and fees for non-covered services at the time
of service. Please review your insurance policy benefits. If you have
questions about coverage, contact your employer or insurance company.
Worker’s Compensation
If you are hurt as a result of an injury on the job, Catawba Valley Medical
Group will bill your employer or your employer’s Worker’s
Compensation carrier. In cases where Worker’s Compensation denies
the claim or services received, your health insurance information will
be needed.
Medicare
Catawba Valley Medical Group will submit Medicare claims for patients.
Patients are responsible for deductibles, co-insurance and amounts for
non-covered services. The Central Billing Office submits insurance claims
for Medicare supplemental insurance, when accurate and complete information
has been provided.

presented a current, valid card or verification of coverage has been obtained

to pay for services. Catawba Valley Medical Group has partnered with AccessOne,
a long-term financing company, to assist patients in these situations.
AccessOne will establish affordable payment arrangements without a lengthy
application. Contact the Central Billing Office at 828.464.2210 to apply
for long term payment arrangements through AccessOne.
Sending partial payments to Catawba Valley Medical Group does not establish
a formal payment plan.

Commercial, Managed Care and Worker’s Compensation. Patients are
expected to pay any known co-pays, deductibles and non-covered amounts
when services are rendered. The balance is due and payable upon receipt
of your statement. Insurance claims are submitted as a courtesy service
and do not relieve patients of their financial obligations.
If a patient’s account becomes past due, Catawba Valley Medical Group
