Prior to the operation, Ramona weighed 221 pounds and had Type II Diabetes.
Today, she is over 70 pounds lighter and her diabetes is in remission.
During her nine month check up with Libby Shaver, RN, MSN, CBN, Bariatric
Program Coordinator, Ramona learned that her BMI had fallen to 24.6, considered
normal because it is lower than 25. At the year mark, she finds herself
within three pounds of her weight loss goal; she’s healthy and happy
with her new lifestyle.
“I want to wish Ramona a big congratulations on her one-year milestone,”
said Shaver. “It has been a pleasure working with her. She set goals
at the beginning of this journey, and she was determined to meet them.
She is following the guidelines and, as a result, she is reaching her
goals. We don’t look at this as the end of her weight loss journey,
but we believe it is the beginning of a new lease on life.”
A question, answer and autograph session will follow Ramona’s talk,
and healthy foods and snacks will be provided.
