Volunteering at Catawba Valley Health System
Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer at Catawba Valley Health
System (CVHS)! CVHS greatly values its volunteer program and the services
it provides.
Following are the requirements for volunteering at CVHS:
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Commit to a minimum of 60 hours of service per year
- Undergo a successful criminal background check
How to become an adult volunteer:

Complete a
volunteer application
- Attend an interview
- Complete required TB testing, which is provided free of charge
- Submit proof of flu vaccination (if beginning during flu season)
- Once approved, attend volunteer orientation
Volunteer Opportunities

flexible schedules and a variety of options. We have various volunteer
placement areas to suit each person’s talents and needs. They include:
- Gift Shop
- Information Desk in the main lobby
- Day Surgery
- Courtesy Shuttle Van
- Level III Nursery
- Pet Therapy (must have certified therapy dog)

- Music Performances
- Infusion Center
- Cardiopulmonary Rehab
