Prior to attaining a Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Gardner-Webb
University, Adam Benfield earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from
Western Carolina University where he also played varsity baseball and
was on the Dean’s list from 2010 to 2013. Adam gained medical experience
caring for patients working at a family medicine practice in Fallston,
NC where he provided primary care to an average of 20+ patients per day.
He also worked with a team of hospitalists at Cleveland Regional Medical
Center where he gained experience in the admission and hospital management
of ICU, PCU, telemetry and observation level patients. Adam maintains
active memberships with the North Carolina Association of Physician Assistants
and the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
