About
Neil Eckard is a board-certified Physician Assistant. He graduated from
Appalachian State University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Cell
Molecular Biology. In his free time during his undergraduate education,
he shadowed a variety of physicians and knew he wanted to pursue a career
in medicine. After working as a pharmacy technician for 3.5 years and
seeing a different side of medicine, he decided to continue his education
with the Medical University of South Carolina. There he earned a Master
of Science Degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2022.
A local to the hickory area, he looks forward to giving back to the community
and building healthy relationships with his future patients. He is passionate
about primary care and seeing patients on the path to better health. Neil
and his wife Abby reside in Morganton with their cat Pepper. Outside of
medicine Neil enjoys spending time with his family, game nights with friends,
golf, and hiking.
