About
Dr. Millsaps has practiced pediatrics in the Unifour area since 1980 providing
personal, innovative approaches to patient care. He was named Physician
of the Year by the Association of Home and Hospice Care of North Carolina
in 2011 and places high importance on educating his patients while providing
excellent service.
Prior to completing his residency at Carolinas Medical Center in pediatrics,
he received his medical degree at Duke University. He also completed an
internship at Duke University.
Dr, Millsaps is involved in many professional organizations including the
North Carolina Pediatric Society, AccessCare, BCBS-NC Medical Advisory
Committee, and the Catawba County Parenting Network.
He is also a member of several civic organizations such as the Hickory
Rotary Club, Project Wild outdoor experiential learning program of Duke
University, Southeastern Cave Conservancy, and the National Speleological Society,
Dr. Millsaps has been happily married to his wife of 40 years who is pediatric
nurse. They have three grown children, 4 granddaughters and 2 grandsons
and are members of St. Luke's Methodist Church in Viewmont.
In his spare time, he enjoys outdoor adventure sports, kayaking, rock-climbing,
caving, cave rescue, computers, photography, music, high tech gadgets,
aerial photography with quadcopters, travel, Apple Chill Cloggers, amateur
radio, and more.
