Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI or MR)

Catawba Valley Medical Center has a 1.5 T magnet performing a variety of exams. Our department is equipped to offer a wide range of studies for any body part including cardiac.

Our scan room is equipped with patient monitoring and an anesthesia machine, enabling us to scan the critical ICU patient or place a patient under anesthesia for the exam. We also offer a patient comfort system allowing patients to listen music during the scan.

The MRI at Catawba Valley Medical Center is accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR). Giving us the Gold Standard for imaging and patient care.
