“Expectant moms usually have a lot of questions as they plan the
arrival of their little one,” said Jackie Miller, Administrator of
CVMC’s Center for Women and Children. “Whether it be knowing how to take care of themselves or preparing
for their new baby, the uncertainty brings a little bit of expected nervousness.”
Well moms, now there’s an app for that. CVMC worked with the developers
of Babyscripts myJourney to create a custom app that gives moms
what to expect when you’re expecting – style information directly on their smart phone. The best part?
It’s FREE!
According to Jackie the app will keep you updated from early pregnancy
through your baby’s first birthday. “It automatically sends
you weekly alerts according to your pregnancy stage, but you can also
check it daily for other important health information from our staff and
top pregnancy experts,” explains Jackie.
CVMC’s Babyscripts myJourney App also offers:
- A Preparing for Birth Checklist
- Trackers so you can monitor fetal kicks, pregnancy weight gain, labor contractions,
and your newborn’s weight, sleep and feeding habits, which you can
then share with your provider
- Instructional videos
- Information on Maternal-Child Education classes and support groups
- Breastfeeding Tips
- Nutritional Information
Through the app, moms will have access to everything they’ll need
to know about having a baby at CVMC. This includes information like what’s
offered at
The POD (CVMC’s Maternal-Child Education Center), delivery day admissions
and visitation policies, birthing center amenities, virtual tours and more.
“Our priority is to make your birth experience the most fulfilling
possible,” says Jackie. “We’re here to provide medical
advice and reassuring support throughout this most important time in your
life and feel this app is a perfect extension to our services.”
